The film, The Great Paint Protection (2), was released in India in July this year with a release date of September 25, 2019.
The film has been in the pipeline for several years now and had been submitted for distribution in India as early as 2017.
However, due to various legal issues, including the fact that the film is a ‘family film’, the film has not been given an official release date in the country yet.
The 3M Company has now given the go ahead for a release in the state of Tamil Nadu, where it is slated to release on November 25.
The film has already been in cinemas in the Tamil Nadu market since May 2017.
The release date has not yet been confirmed.3M’s chief marketing officer Suresh Goyal said that the company has received the Censor board’s permission to release the film in the State.
He said, “We have received the approval from the board and the film will be released in Tamil Nadu.”
Goyal added, “The film is based on a true story that has been passed down by many families over the years.”3M has partnered with local production company, Aukash Cinemas, to produce the film.
It has also partnered with a local producer to produce a commercial film in Tamilnadu.3MG, a major player in the home entertainment market, has also made films based on real life stories.
