A report from The Washington Examiner says that Apple will launch a “phablet” version of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5S on January 26, 2017.
The “phables” are Apple’s proprietary protective covers that are designed to prevent the iPhone from being scratched.
Apple also unveiled a new iPhone 6 last year that came with an additional protective case.
The new iPhones will cost $649 and $699, respectively, which makes them roughly double the price of the previous models.
The iPhone 6 is expected to launch in January of next year.
